About

This is a record of all the customers who have been ripped off by MPH engineering who operate under the guises of Heathrow Engines, Engine Warehouse, Engine Centre.
Our car has been taken to pieces, we’ve paid thousands of pounds and now they won’t put it back together or give it back !
They keep changing company names and annulling their assets – and keeping our money !
Lets get together and put these crooks out of business and into jail !
Some of us have come from MoneySupermarket.com – unfortunately moneysupermarket would not let us publish the names of the directors, their addresses or even post our own names and contact addresses so we have now set up this blog to coordinate a team effort to take MPH crooks to court !

I am so pleased this company has been raided by the police. I kept a log of my involvement with them. If anyone is interested it is detailed below –

03/03/2010 – Berlingo collected by and taken to Reconditioned Engines (MPH Engineering).

Every time we have enquired as to the status of the vehicle we have been either been unable to reach anyone or have been brushed off with excuses.
Despite promises of being called back, no one ever has.
Recently we were told the vehicle needed a new engine block and one was on order. Following this we were told that the wrong engine block was ordered and a new one was on order. After the vehicle was road tested we were told that there was a problem with this engine block and yet another one would have to be ordered.
Most recently we were promised the vehicle would be ready by 11th June 2010. When asked for confirmation of this in writing we were told confirmation would be faxed over. Despite numerous phone calls to Andy, the assistant workshop manager, we still have not received confirmation.

10/06/2010 – Called three times and asked for faxed confirmation of when the vehicle would be ready, but no confirmation was sent.

10/06/2010 – Called Trading Standards and gave all information to them. Was advised to send letter to MPH Engineering explaining the problems and what we would like to happen.

11/06/2010 – Sent letter to MPH asking them to contact us with confirmation of work by 18/06/2010.

16/06/2010 – Called MPH to ask if letter had been received but was put through to workshop. Was put on hold and was then cut off. Called back and was told that no one in the workshop was answering.

17/06/2010 – Called MPH again. Was put through to the workshop. They told me to call back and speak to James Lyons. Called back and was put through to James. He didn’t seem to understand why someone in the workshop had told me to talk to him. He put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then the line was cut off.

18/06/2010 – Called MPH again. Put through to Andy, the assistant workshop manager. He told me he is no longer dealing with this and to talk to James Lyons. Called back to talk to James again but was told he wasn’t at his desk and to try again after lunch.

18/06/2010 – Received response to our letter from General Manager, James Lyons, apologising for delays and saying the vehicle would be ready 01/07/2010 subject to road testing.

01/07/2010 – Called MPH to talk to James Lyons, and was told he would call me back. When I asked if they would like to take my name and number, the person on the other end just said ‘no, he’s very busy’ and then hung up. Called back after lunch and managed to get through to James Lyons, who passed me through to the workshop. I spoke to Andy in the workshop who told me to call back and speak to James. I told him that James just put me through to the workshop and Andy told me to hold the line. After a few minutes he came back and said that the engine block was on back order and they would send out another letter to tell us when the vehicle would be ready.

05/07/2010 – Called Trading Standards and updated them. Advised to send a ‘loss of faith’ letter, get quotes from 3 other companies to retrieve and do the work.

06/07/2010 – Lost faith letter sent.

27/07/2010 – Arranged for another party to collect the vehicle and do the work. Called MPH and informed them that someone would be collecting the vehicle the following day. Was told this was fine.

28/07/2010 – MPH refuse to release the vehicle to collectors. Spoke to Sam who said that Martin, the workshop manager, had to be there to authorise release and he would be back in tomorrow. Sam said to come back tomorrow and the vehicle would be released. Spoke to James Lyons who told me we couldn’t just turn up to collect, we had to give notice. Told him I called the day before and was told it wouldn’t be a problem. He then threatened me with violence, said he had killed people before, dared me to call the police and said they would just laugh in my face if I did. Spoke to Metropolitan Police who said there was nothing they could do as this is a civil dispute.

29/07/2010 – Called MPH and was told Martin isn’t in today. Asked to speak to Sam and was told he wasn’t at his desk. Asked to be put through to workshop and was told there was no response from the number and to call back in 20 minutes. Called back and got through to Darren in the workshop. He said there was no problem with collecting the vehicle – just have to ask for him on collection.

30/07/2010 – Vehicle finally collected with engine in pieces in the back.
